CitySavings opens 65th branch in Sorsogon, hits 2014 branch expansion target

City Savings Bank opened its 3rd branch in Region 5 (Bicol Region) at Sorsogon City last December 18, 2014; this is the 33rd in Luzon & 65th branch nationwide hitting the 2014 branch expansion target.
Hon. Sally Lee, Sorsogon City Mayor & Ms. Erlinda Hubilla, Sorsogon City District Supervisor joined the CitySavings Team led by Mr. Catalino Abacan, President & COO, Mr. Jose Levi Villanueva, Executive Vice President for Channel Management, Mr. Emmanuel Tandoc, Vice President for Sales & Marketing, Mr. Mon Dimapilis, UnionBank Vice President for Facilities Management, Mr. Joseph Manulat & Mr. Sherwin Gabuna Regional Business Head & Regional Operations Head for Mindanao respectively during the office blessing.
“The driving force why we wanted this open is our commitment, at saka meron kayong word dito sa Sorsogon yun pong “Sologon” na ang ibig sabihin ay “to be of service” so yun pong gusto namin na kami ay makapagbigay ng serbisyo lalo po sa aming mga guro at sa ating komunidad. At meron pa isang word “Maragon” na ibig sabihin ay magaling, gusto po naming na maging isang maragon na bangko at kaagapay po ng mga guro dito sa ating lugar (The driving force why we wanted this open is our commitment & in reference to the local term "Sologon" which means "to be of service", that is what we want to achieve - provide services primarily to our teachers & our community. Moreover, in reference to "Maragon" which means great, we would like to become a Bank that embodies this trait & a trusted partner by our teachers here)“ said Mr. Catalino Abacan during his welcome remarks.
“Yung ulan this morning para sa akin blessing po to sa ating lahat at yung mga empleyado ay blessing din po sa amin, they are so dedicated but most importantly we also want to be a blessing to the teachers. Natutuwa kami na nandito kami at sana nga po we will cope up with the expectations of the teachers (For me the rain this morning as well as the employees are a blessing to us. They are so dedicated but most importantly we also want to be a blessing to the teachers. We are happy to be here & hopefully we will cope up with the expectations of the teachers)” added Mr. Emmanuel Tandoc during his closing remarks.
Sorsogon Branch expects to serve the 6,425 public school teachers in Sorsogon City, Bacon District & the municipalities of Barcelona, Bulan, Bulusan, Casiguran, Castilla, Donsol, Gubat, Irosin, Juban, Magallanes, Matnog, Pilar, Prieto Diaz, & Sta. Magdalena.
