City Savings Bank opened its 6th branch in Region 5 at Masbate City, Masbate last July 22; this is the 48th in Luzon and 81st branch nationwide.
Hon. Ruby Sanchez – Morano, City Vice Mayor, and Rufino B. Arellano, Education Program Supervisor (PESS / MAPEH) joined the CitySavings team led by Catalino Abacan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Jose Levi Villanueva, Executive Vice President for Channel Management, Mon Dimapilis, UnionBank First Vice President for Facilities Management, Joseph Manulat and Sherwin Gabuna, Regional Business Head & Regional Operations Head for Region 5 respectively.
“There is a history behind why we primarily serve the teachers. The Aboitizes who owns UnionBank builds and donates classrooms in different areas, later on they thought on helping those who manage the schools, the teachers, through CitySavings. Our reason for being are the teachers, without them we have no right to exist.” shared Abacan.
“In behalf of the Division of Masbate Province, we are extending our friendship to CitySavings and our appreciation for counting us as one of the partners of this bank. Now our teachers have a solution for their needs.” added Arellano.
“Thank you so much for considering Masbate. We love our teachers and this is really a welcome option for them. We guarantee you a safe and happy workplace." mentioned Morano.
“We are not just opening branches, what we are also trying to do is to give all our teacher customers an experience that they will never get from any other private lending institution (PLI). We started from a 2 hour processing time, and then lowered to 1 hour, and now with the new system we have implemented, it is now at about half an hour. Our teachers won’t have to sacrifice being out of the school the whole day.” said Villanueva.
The branch located at Upper Ground Floor, Gaisano Capital Mall, National Highway, Masbate City expects to serve over 2,300 public school teachers in the Province of Masbate.
